Wyandotte Creek Advisory Board (WAC)
The Wyandotte Creek GSA Advisory Committee (WAC) was created in accordance with Section 11.3 of the Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) to ensure diverse perspectives and active stakeholder participation in the Wyandotte Creek Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA). The WAC provides input and recommendations to the Board of Directors on the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Wyandotte Creek Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP).
As specified in the JPA, the WAC is comprised of stakeholders representing the diverse social, cultural, and economic elements within the Wyandotte Creek GSA’s jurisdiction. It plays a key role in ensuring that the voices of groundwater users and other interested parties are heard throughout the decision-making process. The WAC is administered by at least one member of the Management Committee, ensuring close coordination between technical, administrative, and stakeholder efforts.
Key responsibilities outlined in Section 11.3 of the JPA include:
- Representing the interests of groundwater users and other stakeholders across the Wyandotte Creek Subbasin.
- Providing recommendations to the Board of Directors on groundwater management strategies and actions.
- Meeting as directed by the Board of Directors to review and discuss key issues related to the GSP.
Members must live or work within the Wyandotte Creek Subbasin or represent an organization with a presence in the Wyandotte Creek Subbasin. The Wyandotte Creek GSA Board appoints WAC members, with representation capped at 10 voting members.

Terms will be four-years (after initial staggered terms), and interested individuals can apply to become a member of the WAC.

The Wyandotte Creek GSA Board is looking to fill upcoming vacant seats on the Advisory Committee (WAC). The following positions will be appointed or reappointed at the next regular Wyandotte Creek GSA Board Meeting:
- Agricultural Groundwater Users, 3 positions (Terms Ends: 12/31/28)
- Environmental Representative (Accepting applications on a rolling basis)
- Tribal Representative (Accepting applications on a rolling basis)
Interested applicants need to complete and submit an application (provided below) for consideration for appointment to the Wyandotte Creek GSA WAC. The Wyandotte Creek GSA Board is responsible for these appointments as further described in Section 11.3 of the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement (JPA) Establishing the Wyandotte Creek Groundwater Sustainability Agency and the Wyandotte Creek GSA Advisory Committee Charter .
