Wyandotte Creek GSA Management Committee
The Wyandotte Creek Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) was established through a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) between Butte County, the City of Oroville, and the Thermalito Water and Sewer District (TWSD). Each member agency designates a representative to serve on the Management Committee, ensuring coordination and collaboration across the subbasin.
The Management Committee operates under the guidance of the Board of Directors and is tasked with several key responsibilities as outlined in Section 11.1 of the JPA, including:
- Recommending agenda items and proposed actions for consideration by the Board of Directors.
- Administering the Wyandotte Creek Advisory Committee (WAC) to support stakeholder engagement.
- Establishing and overseeing technical working groups to address specific groundwater challenges.
- Preparing and presenting staff reports and technical analyses to the Board of Directors.
This committee plays a vital role in implementing the Wyandotte Creek Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) by bridging technical work, stakeholder input, and Board decisions to ensure effective groundwater management in the Wyandotte Creek Subbasin.
